  • Education:
    • ESL classes: Monday & Wednesday (6- 8:30pm) at Canton Middle School
    • Spanish for Professionals
      -12 week education program
      -Wednesdays 5:30-8:30pm
      -$125 enrollment fee, $18 for books
    • Assists parents in enrolling children in schools
    • Child Care Providers Training -Classes for becoming licensed to be a home day care provider -Call for more information
    • Provides necessary in person and/or over the telephone translations/interpretation
  • Employment:
    • Assistance in obtaining employment in an industry or position compatible with skills and employment history

    • Makes referrals to special training programs
    • Assists in understanding and applying for workman's compensation and unemployment services
  • Health:
    • Provides referrals to clinics and doctors
    • Prevention and nutrition programs such as WIC
    • Immunization program once a month, call for specific dates
    • Prenatal Group every other Monday (4-6pm)
    • Women’s Group Fridays @ 4pm
    • Bayview Van
      -Provides Transportation to Bayview Health Center for general health problems and physicals
      -Tuesday (1-4pm) Wednesday/Thursday (9am-12pm)
      -Appointments made by phone
      -$20 fee
    • Health Choice Program
      -Assistance with application for Managed Care Organizations
      -Call for appointment
    • Breathe Asthma Treatment
      -Children 18 and younger with diagnosed asthma
      -Treatments every other month, call for appointment
    • Provides translations and/or interpretation in person and/or over the telephone with medical providers and social services agencies.
  • Housing:
    • Counsels Hispanic families in the area of renting and/or purchasing a home in the community near Centro de la Comunidad.
    • Call for more information: Monday-Thursday (9-12pm) (1-5pm)
  • Legal Services:
    • Assists with legal issues such as citizenship, crises and eviction cases, victims of domestic violence, assault and battery cases
    • Makes referrals to Pro Bono legal services, attorneys and volunteer interpreters and translation services.
